Join us in creating a brighter future with every treat. Together, let’s lead the pack in sustainability! 🐾🌱

Aren’t dogs carnivores?

Dogs are in fact true omnivores! Plant based treats are a great addition to your dog’s existing diet. They are an excellent source of healthy clean protein, are high in much needed dietary fibre as well as a multitude of vitamins and minerals. In fact, many dogs are lacking sufficient fibre in their diets especially with so many dogs now eating raw, meat based foods. Our plant based Khyber’s treats are packed full of healthy and nutritious dietary fibre which aids with digestion and maintaining a healthy gut!

Are all grains bad for my dog?

There is a common misconception that all grains are bad. On the contrary, most dogs not only do very well with many types of grains, they actually need them for an overall healthy and balanced diet. Healthy grains like oats, flax and chia are a healthy superfoods for your dog and are also rich in dietary fibre helping to promote digestive health.

Where are Khyber’s Dog treats & toppers made?

We believe there’s no place quite like Oh, Canada! That’s why we’re passionate about supporting local businesses. Our treats are proudly crafted in small batches at a fully certified, Canadian facility that meets all human-grade standards. Because your pup deserves the best—made right here at home. 🐾🍁

Is your packaging sustainable?

In our ideal world, our packaging would be edible too! But for now, let’s talk about the reality of “biodegradable” claims—they’re not always what they seem. Most so-called biodegradable materials break down into microplastics (yikes!) that seep into groundwater, rivers, lakes, and oceans, harming wildlife and ecosystems. While truly compostable packaging that’s also food-safe for our fresh, raw, plant-based treats isn’t an option yet, we’re keeping our sights set on the future.

In the meantime, you can recycle your empty bags at designated recycling depots across Canada. The majority of the material will be recovered and repurposed into engineered fuel—a sustainable energy product that replaces traditional non-renewable resources like coal. As we grow and technology advances, we’re committed to exploring even more sustainable options to ensure our packaging aligns with our planet-friendly values.

Do you really taste test your own dog treats?

Yes! You might laugh (or gasp!) Here at Khyber’s Dog Company, we care so much about the quality and flavour of our plant based dog treats, we personally taste test every single recipe that we make (and we often go back for seconds!)
